Our Story

It Started with a Tease

It all started back in college. JP and Loraine were classmates who never thought they’d end up falling for each other. At first, they weren’t even into each other! But fate had its own plans.

Their circle of friends started teasing them, and somewhere between laughter and friendship, a little spark began to grow. It all began with a simple "trip trip lang" . Then one day, without even realizing it, they were texting each other every single day. JP began his quiet way of courting Loraine, it was a “silent panliligaw,” because strict ang parents! But Jp made every effort count, the daily hatid-sundo, the thoughtful messages, and the way he made her feel like a true Disney princess. After six months of subtle sweetness, Loraine and JP officially became a couple on October 30, 2015.

And from that day on, what started as playful teasing between classmates became the beautiful love story that continues to this day.

The Proposal and Prenup

Who Knew? From College Teasing to ‘I Do’

Almost ten years since their story began, JP and Loraine’s love had only grown stronger and bigger (just like their body weight too, a true sign of a healthy relationship, as they say).

JP and Loraine love to travel together, so on September 7, 2024, Loraine thought it was just another simple out-of-town trip with her best friend Dianne (who also happened to be their ultimate driver and photographer that day). But little did Loraine know, JP and Dianne were already in on a surprise. While Loraine, being her usual sleepyhead self, dozed off during the ride, everything was secretly being set in motion.

At their last stop of the day, JP dropped to one knee and asked her, “Will you marry me?” Loraine was completely shocked, she thought they were just filming a simple TikTok trend! She never imagined JP would actually propose at that very moment.

Loraine said yes at JP’s dream wedding church, the beautiful Caleruega Church in Nasugbu, Batangas.

And just like that, their next chapter begins — from college teasing to “I do.” Inspired by this beautiful journey, their wedding hashtag perfectly says it all: #expLORAINEnewchapterwithJP
